The Company operates worldwide with Upstream and Downstream business segments. At a special meeting, Kursk Refinery shareholders voted overwhelmingly in favour of amending Kursk Refinery's Articles to implement a two-for-one share split of Kursk Refinery's common shares. Under Russian Stock Exchange rules, Kursk's common shares commenced trading on a divided basis at the opening of business on July 9, 2009, the second trading day preceding the record date of July 21, 2010.
